Have you thought about living organic and going green?

So I have been sitting here and just giving it some thought.

What is really stopping people from seriously working on going green and living organic and I think it boils down to all of us just being lazy and comfortable in our current living conditions. You see it takes some work to change out light bulbs, get off the couch to turn lights off that are on and not necessary to be on. We continuously let the water run when rinsing off dishes to then go ahead and put them in the dishwasher instead of filling the sink and rinsing dishes before putting them in a dishwasher (We are guilty of that big time). There are so many ways that if we all just did a small part it would start making a big impact.

I am all for saving the environment and leaving something to future generations, but unless we all start acting in a positive way we are not going to achieve this.

I would really love to hear from people about what they are doing or what ideas they have for making things better. I am talking about small town ideas that can be put into practice and then developed into a larger scale. If anyone knows of any organizations that would or can donate to a project like supplying people with a few energy efficient light bulbs to help out with energy conservation would be a great start.

If there are any businesses that would like to start by purchasing an energy saving device to put on their buildings I have the perfect device, just get a hold of me and I will mail you a brochure. This device can save you up to 50% on your current energy bill.

We also need to think about out towns and the general waste and trash just being thrown about. This can and will end up poisoning the ground so we need to take action in creating and volunteering clean up teams. Sponsor your time to one of these. It gets you out in the fresh air and you are contributing to your community.

I would love to start up a community fruit and vegetable garden. If anyone in the Bolivar MO area is interested in doing this and contributing in any way to it please feel free to contact me and we can get together and share ideas to get this project off the ground.

Please feel free to contribute to this blog by leaving any comments or drop by our Facebook Page and become our friend by clicking on the "Like" button.

Let us see if we can start making a difference and setting an example for the community.

God Bless
