Another Weekend is upon us.

Another weekend is upon us. Still battling with the arm not being able to do much or help out around the hobby farm as I would like to do, Got the current bred does moved into the breeding shed as the kits will be due this week. Getting ready for round 2. We had a great success rate on the last round of we bred and so we are looking forward to another pretty large litter again.

Also did some cleanup around the house and yard. I am also looking for some large 6" pvc pipe to make a few molds out of, so if anyone around Bolivar can spare a few feet I would appreciate it.

Other than that we had a great week and looking forward to another one coming up. I hope you have a great weekend and may God Bless you and your family.

Another Weekend has gone.

So as yet another weekend is coming to a close. Nothing too productive to report for the past week. Just worked a bit on the Farm website. Still not feeling the love when it come to concentrating at the moment. Arm is still giving me grief and although I feel that the Physio Therapy is helping a bit, it is still a slow and long process.

It just gets very frustrating when just the simple daily tasks like making a bed, passing the sugar bowl, lifting a cup of coffee etc is a chore. The other thing is not having any income yet from benefits and Workers Comp. This is starting to really become a stressful situation as bills and general living expenses are mounting up. I am praying that the deposition on the 21st will be favorable and I can start getting some compensation and paying some bills.

Besides that, the rest is going great and still working on some plans for expanding the rabbitry when I am able to function a little better. Our vegetable garden and the chickens are doing great. We are up to 4 eggs a day now so that helps out a bit when it comes to breakfast :)

I am very thankful for a loving family and am grateful that no matter what has happened, God has always been there for us all. I know God has greater plans for us all and the fact that we still go on everyday is a testament that he is working for us and making things happen.

God Bless everyone and give Thanks and Praise as we head into this next week.

Oh I love the internet

Well today has started off with both ends of the spectrum yet again. I am truly amazed when things are posted on the internet, especially in the social media realm and are not checked or validated before everyone jumps on the band wagon and re posts articles.I am saddened by the huge amount of people (especially here in the USA) that just follow suite and never check and recheck things before just re posting stuff.

This is the main reason we have such a failed government that is not getting any better.

The wool has been pulled over their eyes and they are now just a bunch of sheeple. Now this would not be a serious matter if it were the minority of voters in this country but the fact is, it is the majority.

I now challenge every smart person that does verify things to please help out in educating your fellow citizen and have proof to support your argument so that there is no doubt when facing all these false statement and articles that are being put out there and being supported by the media. We have to make a positive stance if there is ever to be hope of getting this great country back on track.

Here is a SCARY post that I have verified to be true and should really shock you all and make you realize that your last vote could probably well end up to be just that.
Look who's new in the white house!
Arif Alikhan - Assistant Secretary for Policy Development
for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security
Mohammed Elibiary - Homeland Security Adviser
Rashad Hussain - Special Envoy to the
Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC)
Salam al-Marayati - Obama Adviser and
founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council
and is its current executive director
Imam Mohamed Magid - Obama's Sharia Czar from
the Islamic Society of North America
Eboo Patel - Advisory Council on Faith-Based
Neighborhood Partnerships
This is flat-out scary!!!

The foxes are now officially living in the hen house...
Now ask me why I am very concerned!!!
Do you feel OK with this???
How can this happen, and when will we wake up???
We are quiet while our Country is being drastically changed!!!
If you’re not CONCERNED, DELETE this. Go to bed tonight...sleep well!
Otherwise, pass it on—get the word out!
We've got to have some relief starting with the 2014 Elections!

So folks I now leave this up to you all to make the correct decision and hopefully motivate you to do what is right and to follow the Constitution of the United States of America as this is what makes this a GREAT COUNTRY.

God bless us all.

Hey Folks,

Been a while since I made a post so here is an update for you.

Besides raising chickens for eggs and doing some small scale vegetable gardening, we have started raising meat rabbits for our own use and to sell. Rabbits are sold live as we only process for our own use at the moment. IF you would like to know more or you are interested in purchasing meat rabbits please get a hold of us through our Facebook page.

We are raising Californian, New Zealand and NZ/Cali mix breeds. We are looking to expand pretty quickly so if you or anyone you know are interested in buying meat rabbits let us know.

More to come....

What is happening?

Well I spent some time last night just scanning the internet and researching a few items of interest when I came across a link to a YouTube video posted up by a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Army and I must say that I am not too surprised by what was said regarding the Boston incident and the affairs going on.
The thing with all these theories and videos regarding the conspiracy behind it all will always be there and I don't think will ever change but here is the link to take a look yourself and make your own determinations about it.

As for myself I will continue to work on becoming more self sufficient and less reliant on the government both local and federal and really just to save money and live a healthier lifestyle. We have come together in our family and started a small vegetable garden and got some chickens for eggs and are getting ready to get rabbit to raise for meat. You are welcome to follow us on Facebook or read our blog.

I hope you all have a great rest of the week and feel free to contact us with any question you have regarding starting your own little home farm venture.

God Bless

Tired of Monopolies

I am so tired of the poor crappy service you get from a provider when they have the monopoly in the area. We have had issues with our internet service now for the past several weeks and when ever you do get through to the provider they come up with the lame excuse that there is a latency issue in our area.

I have worked in the IT/Computer field for over 18 years now and I have never had any issue whether it was a hardware or a software issue last for more than 72 hours before resolving an issue. Another fine thing I found out was that this company supplies the Sagemcom F@st 1704 Router/Modem device which I discovered today is no longer supported by the manufacturer. I just cannot figure out how they can actually operate like that.

I suppose it is now just a waiting game to see how things turn out. Wish me luck :)

God Bless everyone and I hope you have a good end to the week.

Obama Signs NDAA Martial Law

I want to leave you all with this video.

Again lets open our eyes and minds and debate what we feel about this and really look at the facts. I ask you to make an individual decision to what you truly feel, and about what is going on in this great country of ours.

God Bless you all and have a great weekend.

Fantastic Saturday with spring like temperatures. What more could one ask for? Give thanks to the Lord God for such great weather and such a glorious day.

Napolitano: Guns and the Government

I came across this article today by former judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey Andrew P. Napolitano, and would like to share it with you. Please feel free to comment and view your own opinions about the article.

If you have listened to President Obama and Vice President Biden talk about guns in the past month, you have heard them express a decided commitment to use the powers of the federal government to maintain safety in the United States. You also have heard congressional voices from politicians in both parties condemning violence and promising to do something about it. This sounds very caring and inside the wheelhouse of what we hire and pay the federal government to do.

But it is clearly unconstitutional.

When the Founders created the American republic, they did so by inducing constitutional conventions in each of the original 13 states to ratify the new Constitution. The idea they presented, and the thesis accepted by those ratifying conventions, was that the states are sovereign; they derive their powers from the people who live there. The purpose of the Constitution was to create a federal government of limited powers -- powers that had been delegated to it by the states. The opening line of the Constitution contains a serious typographical error: "We the People" should read "We the States." As President Ronald Reagan reminded us in his first inaugural address, the states created the federal government and not the other way around.

Notwithstanding the Constitution's typo, the states delegated only 16 unique, discrete powers to the new federal government, and all of those powers concern nationhood. The Constitution authorizes the feds to regulate in areas of national defense, foreign affairs, keeping interstate commerce regular, establishing a post office, protecting patents and artistic creations, and keeping the nation free. The areas of health, safety, welfare and morality were not delegated to the feds and were retained by the States.

How do we know that? We know it from the language in the Constitution itself and from the records of the debates in the state ratifying conventions. The small-government types, who warned at these conventions that the Constitution was creating a behemoth central government not unlike the one in Great Britain from which they had all just seceded, were assured that the unique separation of powers between the states and the new limited federal government would guarantee that power could not become concentrated in the central government.

It was articulated even by the big-government types in the late 18th century -- such as George Washington and Alexander Hamilton -- as well as by the small-government types -- such as Thomas Jefferson and James Madison -- that the new government was limited to the powers delegated to it by the states and the states retained the governmental powers that they did not delegate away. At Jefferson's insistence, the Bill of Rights was added to the Constitution to keep the new government from interfering with natural rights such as speech, worship, self-defense, privacy and property rights, and the 10th Amendment was included to assure that the Constitution itself would proclaim affirmatively that the powers not delegated to the feds were retained by the states or the people.

The Supreme Court has ruled consistently and countless times that the "police power," that is, the power to regulate for health, safety, welfare and morality, continues to be reposed in the states, and that there is no federal police power. All of this is consistent with the philosophical principle of "subsidiarity," famously articulated by St. Thomas Aquinas. Aquinas argued that the problems that are closest to the people needing government intervention should be addressed by the government closest to those people. Its corollary is that all governmental intervention should be the minimum needed.

Now, back to Obama and Biden and their colleagues in the government. If the feds have no legitimate role in maintaining safety, why are they getting involved in the current debate over guns? We know that they don't trust individuals to address their own needs, from food to health to safety, and they think -- the Constitution to the contrary notwithstanding -- that they know better than we do how to care for ourselves. Obama and Biden and many of their colleagues in government are the same folks who gave us Obamacare, with its mandates, invasions of privacy, increased costs and federal regulation of health care. They call themselves progressives, as they believe that the federal government possesses unlimited powers and can do whatever those who run it want it to do, except that which is expressly prohibited.

This brings us back to guns. The Constitution expressly prohibits all governments from infringing upon the right of the people to keep and bear arms. This permits us to defend ourselves when the police can't or won't, and it permits a residue of firepower in the hands of the people with which to stop any tyrant who might try to infringe upon our natural rights, and it will give second thoughts to anyone thinking about tyranny.

The country is ablaze with passionate debate about guns, and the government is determined to do something about it. Debate over public policy is good for freedom. But the progressives want to use the debate to justify the coercive power of the government to infringe upon the rights of law-abiding folks because of what some crazies among us have done. We must not permit this to happen.

The whole purpose of the Constitution is to insulate personal freedom from the lust for power of those in government and from the passions of the people who sent them there.

Andrew P. Napolitano, a former judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, is the senior judicial analyst at Fox News Channel. Judge Napolitano has written seven books on the U.S. Constitution. The most recent is "Theodore and Woodrow: How Two American Presidents Destroyed Constitutional Freedom."

A time to change.

I do believe that it is never to late to change in all aspects of our lives. I personally am thinking about a change in career. I was sitting and praying this morning and had a long chat with God about what I could do to enhance myself and do more for the ones I love and those that I am yet to meet.God has always been there for my family, friends and myself and has never failed us.

I am getting burned out on the Computer/IT field that I have spent most of my life doing and would like to get into a career where I have more face to face with people and the public and where I can do more for individuals or families.

Ha.... Maybe I should get into politics :). Not that I have a clue on where to start, but I think I could do some good in that line. I cannot become president as I am not a naturalized US citizen but I could end up as Governor (Just like Arnold) or was that possible due to him being married into the Kennedy family? Who knows but I would take a shot at it :). One thing is for sure that one needs to start off small so I am going to do some research. Any takers wanting to run a financial campaign for me? LOL

Well on a more serious side. I would like to find a few guys in Bolivar that would be interested in starting a Men's Bible Study/Prayer group. I was thinking about maybe meeting on a Saturday for breakfast somewhere in town and sharing in the Word. We used to do this with our Church but it kinda fizzled out and I would love to get it started back up and be a more permanent occurrence.  If this is something that you would like to do or know someone that is interested please feel free to email me and we can get something set up.

January 2013

New year and new goals. Some of us need some motivation while others just roll on down the hill :) I am personally on a mission to accomplish several milestones this year and I will get around to sharing some of them in the weeks to come. The one big milestone is to really work on developing and expanding Bolivar Worm Farm. This will be a great challenge that I look forward to and to work on the website as well as expand on the operation and hopefully get it to where I can have it function year round.

Of course the biggest challenge as with any business is the finances and that will have to be really handled well to be able to get into a climate controlled environment for the operation. As soon as we can achieve that milestone we should not have many other obstacles to overcome.

We do encourage people to keep an eye on the Website as well as join us on Facebook and of course follow this blog and be kept up to date with our progress.
