The huge #DurbanFire in Rossburgh

What a day yesterday turned out to be. I was at Gateway Mall and at about 11am I noticed that there was a weird aura outside and went to take a look. At first I thought it was a storm rolling in because of the wind and what looked to be a strange cloud rolling across the sky.

I soon found out that this was a huge warehouse fire that had broken out at a Transnet facility off South Coast Road in Rossburgh. It was unreal how huge the smoke plume was and it just grew larger and larger. In the late afternoon around 3:30pm it was like evening in Umhlanga. On the way home at 4:30pm I took another picture along North Coast Road.

And then managed to get a shot on the N2 South Bound around the Umgeni Road interchange.
I got some feedback from Shelley who lives on the bluff that it  was still burning strong in the early evening and got this picture from her.
This morning she let me know that the fire was still burning strong and the smoke was still thick and rising up from the site. I will be heading that way later today and will see if I can get any aftermath photos of this devastation. I am also waiting to hear what the environmental impact is of this fire.As of yesterday the Smoke had formed a cloud that went from Rossburgh to Ballito on the North Coast. I am sure it has gone much further than that this morning.

Gratitude...such a great feeling.

What a great feeling to wake up this morning and the first thing you read is the Breaking News that they found the little one month old baby who was abducted when the car it was traveling in was hijacked. I was very saddened on Friday morning as were thousands of others when the news broke.

There was an awesome response to the news and the amount of people that shared the news on social media with the hashtag #HelpFindDurbanBaby was fantastic. It was also so heart warming to hear how many people started to pray for the safe return of this child to the parents.

At that point I knew it was a matter of time but that his story would have a happy ending, and his morning it was such a great story to wake up to. The fact that so many people aligned with each other and truly came together as one is a definite show of the power that we have, and the power to make things right in this Universe. Yes, there will always be negativity and we always have to overcome it, but the more we work together the greater the positivity will grow and the better things will be for everybody.

Stay positive and always remember to be grateful for what you have and always share the love and be a giving person.

Our disconnected society

Over the past few weeks I have been seriously taking a look at how we as citizens of this planet have lost our connection to the Universe and each other. The disconnection is so apparent yet the majority of people do not see it. Change can only occur when we take the effort to change ourselves.

This is not a religious but a Spiritual request to everyone. We can all agree that we come from a higher entity no matter what religion you follow. This is what we have to focus on and begin to understand that sharing love and helping each other is the only way to achieve greatness and make this planet a better place for everyone now and in the future.

There have been many calls for this action over time yet things have been slow to progress. NOW is the time to DO, as it becomes more and more of an issue the longer it is not dealt with and that my friends will be our short coming if we let the trend of NOT DOING continue. We have to spread this message like wild fire to make a difference. We have to get off our butts and DO to make the difference.

There are plenty of resources to give us insight and help with sharing the positive messages to our communities. You can start by joining and creating a community forum on Ubuntu and let me know when you do so I an connect to your circle as well. Lets reconnect again with each other and nature and live harmoniously with the Universe.

Follow my blog as I will be sharing more info and links to great resources over the following weeks. You can find me on Facebook and on Twitter.

Life is a funny thing.

Today I woke up and had a very positive frame of mind. I got everything done and headed off to work. At work this morning I started to get things sorted out when I received a phone call from Shaun's dad letting me know that Shaun had passed away this morning earlier.

It is amazing how quickly a day can go from Joy to sadness. This has made me sit and reflect on many things today, especially how short life is and that we have to get moving and Do the things we have our hearts set on. Don't leave things for tomorrow as tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Also make sure that you have made preparations for your family and loved ones should that time come that you leave this dimension for the next. I am still a firm believer that we are all Spirits here having a Human experience and that this is not the end when our vehicles (Bodies) expire and our Spirit moves on. Energy is never expended, it just evolves.

We do miss those we love when they pass, but we should be happy for their journey and appreciate that they are moving on. And for those that suffered in their last days we can be happy that they are no longer having to deal with the suffering.

So now to move forward.

“You are not stuck where you are unless you decide to be.”

The time to move on is now and only you can make the change. So get up and DO something about it.

“There is one grand lie – that we are limited. The only limits we have are the limits we believe.”

Have a great week and remember yo are all loved.

God Bless

Let's stop for a second and smell the roses. Shall we?

I received an email today that I just had to share with everyone. I feel that it is time for us all to take a hard look at life and reflect on things in it.

Let's stop for a second and smell

the roses. Shall we? :)

In the high-speed world around us,it’s hard not to fall into the rapid flow of life.We want to get the most done we canin the least amount of time:

- texting while watching television

- checking social media while walking

- sending emails during meetings

- chatting on the phone while cooking dinner.

In the midst of this chaos, everything starts to fade. Suddenly, everything seems to have all blended together, as one messy jumble.

We’ve barely appreciated a second of it, lived it to it's fullest.

Isn't it time to take a deep breath?

And think about all the precious moments we missed out on, in this autopilot state of ours? And, is it worth to continue on like this? After all, one day we will all be gone, so wasn’t it so critically important how we lived and enjoyed each day, right?

I have just the thing to help you reflect on and achieve that ...
